  General Notes:

Lily Cooper ABC's great aunt told this story in 1957. "Jeremiah was a merchant and traden about the turn of the century. He made annual trips to what is now Atlanta, taking a wagon train of manufactured goods and bringing back a load of skins. During these trips his wife Charity would return to Pennsylv nia to vist her family there.

Was a Capt. in the Civil War with 8th Btn. SC Reserve. He had a personal autograph book with signatures of Beauregard, Sam Jones, Hampton, Ripley, J.B. Hood, Conner, et al. It was probably burned in Miss Lillie Cooper's house fire of 1960, which destroyed a priceless collection of family memorabilia.

Very wealthy ABC Sr. remembered him coming to visit with his sons William and Perry. Perry died in FL and William went back to SC

Noted events in his life were:

• Occupation: Prominent Politician.

Clark married Ann Alice REID on 16 Feb 1847 in SC.
